MegaCon 2011
- A review in pics -

I must confess how much I hate to start writing giving an excuse, but my worst enemy "Real Life" somehow always manage to keep me away, specially on deadlines. So I finally bring you here some very cool images of my recent trip to MEGACON Orlando 2011!

Definitely an amazing experience. There's no doubt in my mind Orlando has a magic of it's own that goes way beyond Disney, Universal and all those themed parks. In fact i couldn't visualize those parks in any other place than "The Beautiful City"

I recently found an online article where MEGACON 2011 was placed as one of the top 5 comic books convention in the US. So after having the chance to experience it by myself, there's no doubt that between the laid low atmosphere, the event itself, the people, the weather, those impressive cosplay, Orlando's magic air, plus a list of top quality 1A - Guests from Stan "The Man' Lee, to Geoff Johns, George Perez, Jim Palmiotti, Rob Hunter, Mark Morales, J Scott Campbell, and many more…. Uff!!… what more can you ask for?

Well actually there is: how about getting ready and counting the days for next year?
So scroll down and take a trip back with me to Orlando MEGACON 2011 and get ready for next year, you wouldn't want to miss it!

One of the many bridges of Orlando's Orange County Convention Center

The doors opened at 1pm and as you can see the line was huge

So huge it continues outside

Beautiful ACURA sponsor of S.H.I.E.L.D and the THOR movie

Beautiful pirate display, I'm not sure if the reason was the next Pirate movie or a very popular dinner show

MegaCon posters, t's stuff and people moving on

R2D2 a few jawas and so many people who worship these robots. They are custom made and cost around US$4,000 per robot

Another view of R2D2. Remote control operated, ful sound and details

SuckerPunch girls. Amazing!

Cool. Impressive work. Sadly for me the movie sucks!

Ladies and Gentleman: The Legend, Stan "The Man" Lee.
Arriving to the signing. The line was huge. I had VIP pass otherwise I would give up. I had the chance of taking a picture with him moments before. Sorry if the pics are shaken. I did my best.

My biggest concern was: What to give to Stan for him to sign on?. So I decided to start a hunt the first day, after all if there were something cool, I was in the right place to find it. Stan is such a nice gentleman. This guys breathes comics and heroes through his senses

So I looked, found and met the one and only CrazyEd!. What a passionate gentleman and a great seller of course. He convinced me to buy this great Fantastic Four issue for Stan to sign me. Besides I got my SpiderMan-Venom series I was looking for, sealed and graded. Drop me a gift and treated me like a superstar!

So I get in line and follow the protocol according my friend CrazyEd and gave Mr. Lee my new collector piece

This is the historical moment when the Legend, Stan"The Man" Lee sign my comic book. The issue is Fantastic Four #73 - Giant Guest Star Bonanza. What an amazing experience to have the privilege to meet this creative machine. To actually have the chance to be part of him and his work through my logo. For me AJ Marti, this man is an inspiration because of his passion for comics, creating and writing. I have to confess: I want to be like Stan Lee!

The Batman and The Flash... Any questions?

More Artist Alley

Umm... What can I say? Sadly he has to abandoned his ship every now and then because of the lack of air conditioner in the cabin. But I love it!.
Great idea! Beautifully executed!
